Our Pub

Located on the leafy Approach Road leading to Victoria Park sits The Approach Tavern, a beautiful and welcoming high ceilinged stripped back Victorian pub. Photographs of the establishment's previous legendary owner Harry King adorn the walls along with other images of the pub’s rich history. Like all of the Remarkable Pubs, this flagship serves a fine selection of real ales which can be enjoyed along with delicious in-house kitchen cooking, in winter by the real fire, and all year round under our large heated and covered terrace. The Approach Tavern also has an internationally renowned contemporary art gallery located on the first floor.
